I recommend you check out Important If True. It’s like, as close to a non-fiction version of Welcome to Nightvale as you could possibly get. Basically, it’s just these three guys rambling about weird, gross, or intriguing news that’s actually happening in the world. Highlights include:

1.) an ad for toothbrushes getting sidetracked into a discussion of commercials in the 90′s which just keeps going until the intro song starts just playing over them talking.

2.) listeners sending in mail about weird dreams that they had, or requests for a shout out, except the shout out is just a series of tongue twisters, one for each host.

3.) vaguely horrified speculation about a guy who owned an off-brand chucky cheese and developed some sort of nuclear reactor in his basement, which exploded, melting the animatronics into terrible monsters.

4.) long discussions about how morbid the Cars universe is.

And that’s just episode 4.

Rimworld Alpha 17 #01 - Tutorial

RimWorld is a construction and management simulation video game currently being developed by Ludeon Studios. The main objective of the game is to expand a colony made by the survivors of a spaceship crash. When enough resources are procured, the player can escape the planet. The game has a top-down, two-dimensional view. The story of the game is generated randomly by an AI storyteller.

Weird, so I edited this to add the hashtags and it deleted my entire post other than the original link. So, here's the post again, or something like it!

I grew to love Netrunner thanks to Terminal7, the best of the Netrunner podcasts on a number of levels. Nels and Jesse are good players but aren't obsessive, insane, theorycrafting nutjobs who do nothing but play this damn game. They both work in the video game industry, and have a great deal of respect for Netrunner as a game, but also as all the things I love about it -- the narrative world, the sometimes-bad-sometimes-amazing art, the ongoing discussions that arise around the game, etc. Terminal7 is fun, funny, and they very often get great guests, such as Fantasy Flight's Damon Stone a while back to this most recent episode, in which Shut Up & Sit Down's Quintin Smith makes his ... third? fourth? appearance on the podcast.

The latest episode reviews the Weyland half of Order and Chaos. Personally, I like the name "Space Ice" much more than "Cosmic Ice," but call it what you will, gentlemen. Also, Quinns has me considering Ultra Pro Binders, but I'm really not sure I'm ready to take that leap.
