Day "I was too tired to post" 35... @ #中里太郎右衛門 Maybe I have caught up with my days?... maybe... #kamatsume day, setting up my #idochawan Seriously had so many 1 st try here that I couldn't even count. Idochawa has been impossible, the throwing was so hard, I think it is the most difficult clay I had the throw with. At first I couldn't even make it into a bowl, 😩😩when I try to do anything, it get taken off as the wheel spin. 😳😳Then I get the stage that it is a bowl but I couldn't shape it. It just crack wherever it like when I start shaping it. 😖I had to redo countless times for a bowl. 😑😑😑 The success rate is extremely low for me. I even broke one just setting it up. 😨😰😭😵It is so brittle... I was already extremely careful...as it is an extremely rare opportunity to try it out. Thanks to Sensei's generosity, I was given his clay to make Idochawan. I can't explain my love for it when I first held it in my hands in his gallery. I felt tranquility through the chawan and understood so this is what it is... hard to express the realisation.
