Autism Acceptance Month: Autistic Headcanons - Jeannie (I Dream of Jeannie)

Imagine allowing Jeannie to finally tell you how she feels about you.
Jeannie had always been affectionate, even the first time you met her. She was the sweetest person you’d ever had the pleasure of knowing and you couldn’t help but feel there was something more to her feelings for you than just kindness. One day you decided to ask her about it. "Do you have feelings for me," you’d asked.
"I have many feelings for you," Jeannie responded.
"That’s not exactly what I meant," you explained, now finding it a bit awkward to meet her eyes. "I meant, romantic feelings."
"You really want to know how I feel?" You nodded, though your gaze remained fixed on the floor. "I have loved you since the day we met. It was probably only infatuation at first, but every day I fall a bit more in love with who you are."
You glanced up, a look of surprise on your face. "I think I feel the exact same way about you."
