I'm a substitute teacher working mostly in elementary schools. I'm going to school to teach high school math. I have to say you page made me laugh out loud so many times! Keep up the obvious love and laughter you have in your classroom! Have there been any times a student is just a pain in the butt and you realize why by meeting parents or whatever?
Yes! So much about behavior can be explained by home life and by meeting whoever is raising the child and who the child spends most of his/her time with. It’s also always fun to have siblings in different years and see how they are similar and different – a lot of times they have big differences and then you have to try and figure out where those differences come from. It’s definitely a lot to consider but it’s kind of like solving a little mystery!
