(sorry;;) -- After this group gets more members and more room in units, and you have all of the characters in a certain unit on the masterlist, would you be allowed to leave the static unit and reform as a canon unit if you wished to?
Unfortunately, we will not be allowing this. While Idol Road is based off of Ensemble Stars, the point of the group is not to reform canon units, it is to collaborate with other people in order to be the best idol you can be.
With this being said though, you are able to request to be put in a specific unit during reservation. Until we get more members though, units are limited to 3 people, all of which must be from differing routes.

Hello! One question- do OCs need to have face claims if you have already drawn them/drawn icons for them? Figured I'd check before I got too deep into app writing.
If you’re able to draw your own OC, then no faceclaim is needed! When reserving, please state that you will be drawing your OC instead of simply ignoring the need to put down a faceclaim and series, however.

That’s a great question!
Yes, you can have IRL face-claims, however, only if they are characters from a show. We would prefer that you reserve the character with the name and series of the desired face-claim, like usual, and send in the name of the actor/actress.
Granted the nature of IRL face-claims, more than one role by the same person cannot be accepted.
For example: if you decide on the IRL face-claim of Hermione from the Harry Potter films, then no other roles done by Emma Watson can then be accepted as a face-claim in this group.
Due to this, we prefer that people not use IRL face-claims, but we definitely have no qualms or prejudice against it if that is your preference!

also, i have a question! how exactly are canon units handled? are the canon characters placed in a temporary unit, and you're allowed to re-form canon units, or how exactly does that work? i couldn't find any clarification so excuse me if i missed it!

Because Idol Road is based loosely on Ensemble Stars, whatever plot that takes place within the game is not actually implemented into the group. Meaning that while you are allowed to apply as characters from the game, you will be taking them from a fresh start, and that whatever units they were in technically have not been formed in this universe.
In hopes of encouraging people in the group to talk to each other, the units are automatically formed based on when applications are submitted. Please refer to this post for how requesting to be placed in a unit may look, and this post for how units with more than 3 members will be handled in the future, once more members are secured in the group.

Okay one last question before I send my app in, is it possible to request to have a member be a part of a specific group? For instance could I request this character I'm about to send in into unit B?
Yes, you can, but until we get more members we still reside by the rule that all units must have at least one person from each route. Depending on the current routes taken in a unit, we may ask you to revise either the route you have chosen in order to be with the unit you wish, or we will check with you to see if you are okay with being in another unit.

Hello there modsquad, I got a question. For the application, under abilities, it says 3 minimum, so we're allowed more correct? Would 4 be allowed? I'm sorry if this seems like a silly question but all apps seem to have 3 for now so I just wanted to make sure this was allowed.
As someone who only has three I can assure you, it’s just because we’re lazy... Thank you for your question! Yes, you’re definitely free to write more than three abilities, we’d love to hear all about what your character can do! As long as you have at least three, there’s no cap to what you can list.
