Meet Lalit. Lalit studies in a government school in Rohtak. Somehow he did not find interest in the regular classroom and was therefore not performing so well academically. Naturally, post an assessment conducted by the State Government, he was given under a special care of his teachers. The teachers worked tirelessly to support Lalit. However, with not much success. 

Last year Lalit got to experience learning in a new way via TABLAB. He got his hands on a tablet and stories, animations intrigued him. 

He got interested and began coming to school more regularly. Gradually he improved. He said I could now relate much better to what teacher was teaching and what was there in my book. 

Today he uses his tablet to also cover his previous learning gaps and is extremely happy to enter a phase of life where he is getting better at learning and finally his teachers are also happy with him. 

To Lalit and to lakhs of students around the country, we wish a very Happy Children's Day.

The mobile based learning app enables students to access enjoyable educational and life skills content in local language aligned to the state board curriculum. 

We requested Mr. Naveen Dagar, who is a government school teacher in a govt school in Kaharani (Alwar Distt), Rajasthan to share his journey post Covid. Despite the digital divide, he has been trying to connect with his students on phone, whatsapp and via the iDream Learning App. He says, " No matter what, I will not let my children miss out on their learning, whatever the times may be".

While the ongoing corona situation is unprecedented but still there is one positive that has come out of this. 

All the environmental damage that we humans have been causing since decades can actually be reversed. Who would have thought that is even possible? 

But all that it requires is bit of commitment from our end. And we can do this. This World Environment Day on 05 June, let's pledge to begin a journey of hope. If not for anyone else, we owe it to our kids.

Rohit from iDream Education speaks with Mr. Aditya Pundir of Climate Reality India, which was started by former US Vice President Mr. Al Gore. 

In just the last 150 years, the amount of carbon emissions have gone up from 280 parts per million to 410 parts per million. The 3 hottest years ever have all happened in the last 10 years. 

The humanity is in crisis, But one thing which the ongoing Corona Lockdown has gives us is hope that if we want it, we all can collectively still take the corrective actions to save our earth from a catastrophe. 

But are we ready to commit to it? Can we be for a change just be slightly sensitive? This conversation gives us a strong reality check but also ends on a note of hope. But only if we commit to it.

Sonia Mam teaches Science in a government school in Rohtak, Haryana. She is a strong believe in the method of teaching wherein she feels that unless students see and visualise a concept, they will never understand it. 

She is also a very passionate teacher who wants to see all her students including the weakest one's excel in their lives. She believes, " aagey badhengey to sab bachchon ko saath mein lekar badhengey". 

She has been using learning tablets with her students to not only deliver very fun and engaging learning but also to understand each of her students better. With consistent usage, she is very satisfied with the results and the way her students are coming up.

Rohit in conversation with Mr. Gavit Subhash Vasant, an inspired teacher in a Govt School in Maharashtra. 

The Corona lockdown put a sudden end to the school leaving millions of students disconnected with their school and the teachers. Despite the unprecedented challenges this situation has thrown at us, it is the teachers like Mr. Subhash who are working hard to ensure their students are able to continue learning from the safety of their homes.
