Does learning to conjugate Spanish verbs make you want to hit your head against a brick wall?
Same here, but day by day, I feel less agitated by the concept. I think that’s due in large part to this cool app. I’m not affiliated with them, I just think it’s a really awesome tool. The free version gets you LOADS of practice with the present and preterite tenses, and if you decide you love it and want to practice all the tenses, it’s only $6 to support a lovely developer and unlock the whole app for life.
With ConjuGato, you don't need to type the answers – just think or say the correct verb and tap to check for yourself (you can enable the t
I use ConjuGato in conjugation with (see what I did there?) SpanishDict’s cheat sheet tables. I write out and sing a silly song to memorize all of the endings for each tense, and then rapid fire (or not so rapid when I’m first learning a new tense) work through as many verbs in ConjuGato as my brain can handle before steam starts rolling out of my ears. Honestly, I don’t even focus very much on learning the infinitive verbs that I don’t know in the app, I just try to breeze through the words.
ALSO, you have control over which tenses it shows you (so when I’m first learning a particular tense, I turn off all of the other ones) and you have the option to turn off vosotros endings if you’re focused more on Latin American Spanish like me :)
Really want to design a game where, like... I think I mentioned this before. But it’s Duolingo mixed with a dating sim.
You choose the language you want to study and have a story and five dudes to date but they won’t romance you except in the language you’re studying. They become your study partner and you’ll get love letters you have to translate and dates you go on where you have to choose the right response and shit. And you’ll get them sitting there while you’re doing vocab flash cards and walking you through lessons. You can switch between the guys anytime cuz sometimes you just learn better with a certain character.
Also it would be pronoun choice because that actually matters to the language you’re learning and it needs to be tailored to you.
Realistically I could develop the story and art and everything, but I’d at least need a programmer and someone to design lesson plans and translations and shit. Plus I could probably only have one or two languages at first. Obviously gotta have Japanese for the weebs.
Anyway, I’ve already thought this whole thing through and started making concept art help.
