“Freedom was something I was truly given within the Black Temple and it was that same freedom I chose to enact when I left. Now, my station and duty to my people remove me from such notions and I am a creature of what is required of me.”

Tmit: which of your characters feels the most out of place in their life and why?

Idriil is the one who struggles with her position in life the most. While being a confident character, she has been through much. With the loss of her child and her divorce, she is now learning to rebuild the life that she lost. This of course takes time.

Having spent his youth in the idyllic lands of Dawnspire, Telchis now serves as the provinces serdar. Telchis is a great character for those who are social, knightly and enjoy a good flask of rum.

Izulde Netherstar serves as the mari’thur of the Emberlight, a haunted and misty province in the south of Quel’Thalas. He is a cunning politician with grand ambitions for his people. Izulde is a deadly blood mage and a practiced fencer. Poised and dignified, Izulde does best with those who can hold a candle to his roaring flame and does not mind part of his grand machinations.

Idriil loves freely and often, and is able to make quick and lasting friendships. Characters eager for loyal and insightful advice or simply pleasant company will enjoy Idriil’s good graces.

💔 What was my muse’s first heartbreak?

Idriil had many lovers before she was finally engaged to Tyril Sunspear who would later become their husband. They had a daughter together a year before the fall of Quel’Thalas. Unfortunately the fall cost them the life of their baby. Both Idriil and Tyril blamed themselves for their grief. In desperation they sought the aid of a magister. That magister invaded their thoughts and with Tyril the damage was tremendous. Whatever love and feelings he had for his life before the fall was... missing, this included his love and feelings for Idriil. The couple later separated and Idriil has retained a closeness in her heart for him ever since.

What is your character’s single greatest fear? How did they acquire that fear?

Idriil is hardly a woman to be intimidated by anything let alone anyone. Having lived a life of of abandonment, she was well versed in the concepts of loss. Her mother, a woman of minor account was a woman imprisoned by the longing of her heart. When she gave it so freely in her youth, it was no surprise that Idriil was born into the world, a child of noble birth and staggering potential. Despite these things, she was so easily abandoned and discarded. Still to this day, despite the wars and tribulation that the nethermancer puts herself through, there is only one person that makes her heart quicken and her breath labored. The mere sight of Alonsys Dawnveil wrings her stomach into tight knots. She can hardly stand his presence, but worst of all, Idriil fears that some day she might forgive him.
