Another Cosplay Idea
Okay so you may know that I am a big Jurassic Park fan and you may know that there is a convention we have on campus every year if you follow my page. Well I have been thinking of another cosplay to do when I am not being Yakko Warner. I though of being a Starfleet officer one of the days but there is something else that I have wanted to cosplay as for a long time.
So a few days ago I found this fake gator tooth Necklace and thought would it be cool to make this part of a Jurassic Park Ranger cosplay like a ranger who had a Raptor tooth strapped around his neck. I have been wanting to do a JP cosplay for a while now being a big fan of the whole Jurassic franchise as a whole. I think I may make this SCA Convention all about Steven Spielberg's works on my end. Since I am going as Yakko Warner I kind of wanted to do something else from Spielberg's line since I am a big fan of his works. So I am going to as a Jurassic Park Ranger. I have the badge made I just need a few other things but it won’t be hard to do. I am basing my costume on a what if basis if the park didn’t fail and if they had tour guides of the park. So I think it would be fun to do. I will even have one of my old toys with me that is Jurassic Park based so I can have a Dinosaur with me so that way it isn’t one sided with just a human Jurassic Park ranger walking around. What is Jurassic Park without a Dinosaur??? That is like Luke without Mara Jade, Mickey without Minnie, Jessica without Roger, Lola without Bugs, Han without Leia... well you get the idea.
I have had this The Lost World: Jurassic Park egg toy for a really long time. This is the T-Rex that had it’s leg Broken by Roland Tembo in the second installment of the JP/JW movies. This is going to be so cool I will also have my camera bag with me just to have some picture equipment with me to make it look as if I am going around Isla Nublar on a photo safari. I already have my costume clothes for they are what I wear all the time on nature walks when I volunteer. I have a pair of fishing pants I got a while back and an old button down beige shirt that I have had for several years now. I will also wear one of my wide brim hats that I wear on hot days when I am out on the trial so you might say that I already dress like a Jurassic Park guy but that just comes from being a naturalist. So this cosplay should be really fun to do. I will be taking photos with people at the con and will take a few stand-alone shots too so I can show off each thing during the con. So it will be a lot of fun. This is the first time I am doing our SCA Con on campus. They have been doing it for three years and this year will be their fourth year doing this sort of thing. I love conventions and mixing with the geek crowd. I have two major parts to my life being a fan of video games, cartoons, and science fiction, and pop culture/ nature so I like to gather with different people who have the same interests as I do. So until April 12 & 13th I am galactic_bug_man and I will see you on the trail of life.
