who: Tabitha and Eden @bitethvhand where: Tabitha's apartment when: 9/28 (the day of the windstorm), in the evening
In the hours since the supernatural windstorm had shaken their town, Tabitha had heard from all of her sisters except the one she was most worried about these days. That Eden had dropped out of college without warning was bad enough, but that she refused to talk about what happened with any of her sisters was what really had Tabitha concerned. Tabitha needed to know the details if she was going to properly help her sister, and waiting for Eden to open up was testing Tabitha’s patience. Especially now that dark magic was threatening Cardinal Hill, Tabitha wasn’t sure if that would be particularly distressing to Eden or not, so she decided on a slightly subtler approach to checking in.
Tabitha had already memorized the number for Eden’s new place—something else that worried her—and she dialed it without looking, setting a timer for the key lime pie she’d just put in the oven as she waited for her sister to pick up. “Edie, I’m making key lime pie. Do you want to come over?” The offer was partly a bribe, but Tabitha also believed that nothing was so bad that it couldn’t be made a little easier by sweets.
