Theater & Acting /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Was that the last show I will ever be cast in??? Post-show anxiety? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 10:12 PM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160718221214AAVtB8Q I just recently completed my first theatre performances and it was a blast. I am in love with anything that has to do with theatre, and I actually recently double-majored in it (I am a film/ theater major, upcoming sophomore). I am not bragging in any means (I actually lack confidence, quite a bit), but acting just seems to come natural to me, and all of the people that were in the show with me were shocked that this was my first show. I was told to not worry about not getting cast in future shows because I was very talented, but what if they are just saying that? Now, I had so much fun and such a good experience with this show that is now over, I can't wait to do the next. However, I'm terrified that was the last show I will ever be cast in. I am still very new to the performing/acting world so I fear that I pale in comparison to the talented people that will be my competition at school auditions (Temple university), and just for other shows in general. And that I am just delusional when I feel that I am talented. So I guess my question is, how do I deal with that anxiety? How do I gain confidence in my acting/singing/dancing abilities when I am new to musical theater? /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Would two nvidia gt 730's bridged be as fast as a 760 or 780ti? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 06:51 PM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160718185136AAnEwui Sometime this fall, the theatre company I do a lot of my shows at is putting on a production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, and after looking over the characters, music, and a synopsis of the show, I particularly want the role of Jimmy Smith. Vocally, many sources say he goes up to a high A, but he only seems to go to a high Ge could verify this, that would be great, although it is not a problem either way. Concerning his general "look" and stage presence, I'm pretty sure I have that down to a T, and I have played characters like him before. The only possible problem is the possibility of him having to be a really good tap dancer like some of the other characters/ensemble. I want some additional clarity on Jimmy in general, as well as how the actors playing Jimmy and Millie should work together/"click" both on and offstage, as well as answers to the problems I addressed above. Any and all info is appreciated! /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: If you taught an acting class and had a student who was never off book, not once in the entire term, how? Posted: 18 Jul 2016 07:31 AM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160718073141AAhQnEd Acting has been my passion since a super young age. I've always been a natural and can portray my characters very well. I've taken theater at school since 2nd grade and have landed a lead in almost all of my plays (I'm 13 now). My drama teacher recently found a role she thought I'd be good for on TV. The issue is I've never worked with a professional agent/agency. I know how auditions and resumes work but do you think the casting directors will even care if all experience I have has been with my school? I really do think I have what it takes to make it as an actress and this would be a dream come true just for the experience of the audition but do you think they would even want to consider me? /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Why do small time actors wanted to become the lead and make it big in the the acting industry, if they claimed they never wanted fame?
