Your Best Imaginary Friend....

I've played with the idea of "Your best imaginary friend" since 2016 and other than doodles nothing has come of it. Well no more! I plan to work on a short comic and do a few posts about it. Let the world take it. This is the more family friendly version of Chara that doesn't need major content warnings. I'll post the one that does here.

Both versions are "canon" to this AU. The idea is simple, when Chara fell down they died and weren't found, but Chara's spirit "haunts" Asriel and they become best friends. No one but Asriel can see her and attributes him talking to his friend Chara as him making an imaginary friend.

I just needed to redraw what I had, the original drawing from 2016 was lost to a broken motherboard. But in a quick doodle I did for a friend in 2022 roughly shows what I had imagined originally. It'll be on the "mature" post since the thing is a bit dark.

This is the version of Chara that doesn't show much in this AU but is closer to what she looked like in death. What she usually looks like to Asriel is posted here.

It's through DETERMINATION alone that she persisted and I wanted that reflected, it's why she's red if it wasn't obvious. The "blood" is actually a very very dark purple, again reflecting PERSEVERANCE.

Not super obvious from front on but the skull is caved in and nose is broken. In the older sketch below you can get a better idea of what it looks like. I made this AU in 2016, lost the original sketch and concept doodle but recreated it in 2022 for a friend. So far only the eyes have changed since 2022

last night's ifau headcanon talk with michi-san and noon-san was intense tho

i have a headcanon that raiko has the tendency to get lost maybe while wandering in the rich district and after a few times of getting lost rocky installs a sort of tracking chip on him so she can keep an eye on him (maybe also to some of his body parts since he could have left them somewhere outside)

i can imagine that in reus's house since they probably have a lot of cardboards bc of monika's boxes, they could have started performing plays in the house for fun. using markers and some paint to make the background and using everyday tools as props. the stories change and vary a lot from romeo and juliet to space rangers. they make a lot of mess but theyre having fun
