So, I’m gonna give you some hot new headcanons since you’ve heard me hoot and holler about these two for about two years? Is that right? I have no sense of time. 


Kuroko is one of the few people Hara will actually listen to and adjust his behavior for. Some of these adjustments are minor, like being ten percent less of a scamp towards the rest of Seirin, and others are major, like pretending to be civil with some of the GoM. These adjustments aren’t always successful (telling someone that they look like they didn’t get dressed in the dark today isn’t exactly civil after all) but he’s trying. Of course, Kuroko doesn’t always accept just trying, because he, you know, has standards.

Hara pays a lot of attention to Kuroko’s boundaries! He knows how potentially dangerous it can be for them to be caught smooching and hugging in public, so when they’re out and about walking Mochi and Nigou, the most Hara will do is drape an arm over Kuroko’s shoulder or wrap an arm around him to give onlookers the idea that they’re just two guys being dudes. When they’re around friends, Hara will be more affectionate, pulling Kuroko close and wrapping an arm around his waist and planting a quick peck on Kuroko’s cheek if given permission.

Hara might be a scamp, but he’s actually considerate towards Kuroko. He’s memorized Kuroko’s schedule so he doesn’t catch Kuroko off guard or inconvenience him, and he knows what days Kuroko tends to push himself harder. On those days, Hara will show up at Kuroko’s house with a vanilla shake from Maji Burger and with Mochi. He tries to play it off as him just being in the neighborhood and he accidentally ordered two milkshakes out of habit so he figured he’d just stop by. No biggie. But Kuroko knows and Hara knows he knows.

Hara’s very vigilant when Kuroko is around the other members of Kirisaki Daiichi’s basketball team. While Hara hopes his teammates aren’t stupid enough to give his boyfriend a hard time and he knows Kuroko can take care of himself for the most part, he knows just how deep some of his teammates’ animosity towards Seirin is. On the occasions where Kuroko and Hara spend time together in the company of Kirisaki Daiichi, Hara tends to stay close to Kuroko just in case. While Hara truly does value his place on his team and his friendship with his teammates, he values his relationship with Kuroko just as much.

I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship

1) It’s rocky to explain it but they admire each other quite a lot but they are also rivals. Kuroko has explicitly stated he views Kise as his rival and it’s not like they are evenly matched one on one. Rather, Kise had the ability to be a great team player the whole time, Kuroko realized that if Kise put aside his selfishness Kise would directly influence the flow of the game. Kuroko understands that if he didn’t steadily improve Kise would defeat him in the kind of basketball he loves most. 2) Kise has an undying love towards Kuroko, not only is he a player that can’t be copied (kise can’t go invisible but he can do the passes well enough lol) but he’s a really calm and serious guy.  Kise wants to get Kuroko worked up, he wants to see him express things and get upset/happy in some way just to see. He likes to press his buttons, good or bad.3)They’re both dog lovers and Kuroko see’s a big dumb dog in Kise so he can’t stay mad at Kise’s bullshit for too long. It’s like when the dog gets into the trash, they make a mess, you get mad at them, they get diarrhea and you’d think they’d learn their lesson but no, they do it again. You still love them anyways. It’s unconditional love.4) Kise has never been on the receiving end of Kuroko truly angry and honestly he never wants to be. He’s done his best to stay on Kuroko’s good side and thankfully Kise has learned the value of friendship and respecting the sport they love so much but he worries sometimes that Kuroko will find something Kise does so abhorrent and gives him that horrible glare with fury in his eyes. Kise waits until late at night when Kuroko’s guard is down to ask him things he hates and that make his blood boil. He takes a mental list.

Today had Cancer in the top spot. He had his prized lucky item, a carry bag of Nyankichi Namenayo, safely placed down near the side of the wall along with his towel for the first practice of the Basketball club, but there was quite a surprise waiting for him.

Not many would notice the blue-haired teen that had entered Shutoku’s gymnasium, and Midorima would not fault them. He knew this one’s lack of presence was legendary. He knew a moment where he may be lax would have him vanishing from the face of the earth since this was in the other teen’s very nature, but there was no chance of this happening. Midorima, after all, gave more than a hundred percent of himself into basketball whenever he stepped into the gymnasium, and this first day was no exception.

Never did he expect to find another one of others,but for him to have joined Shutoku had him recall their phantom sixth man was excluded from the original promise.

“...Kuroko.” He states, green-eyed gaze set on the other as the surrounding noises seem to grow dim, as if to hear their conversation.

[ 変態 ] - The cold air was continuously nipping at his cheeks and his arms, making shivers run down his spine. He hated the cold but even during the warm weather he complained about how it was too hot; it was just an on going cycle, honestly.

             Having watched his feet as they walked, he wasn’t completely sure where they had wandered off too. All he cared at this point was getting back in to the warm home and possibly falling asleep underneath the kotatsu. When he heard the approval, a loud sigh passed his lips, looking up and watching as his breath showed in the cold air and disappeared. “Thank God, I feel like I’m freezin’ to death.” Daiki bent down and grabbed the dog by his stomach, sticking him underneath his arm and turning around, following close behind Kuroko. “You do this every night?”

Takao prides himself on his observations, but perhaps he’s just imagining things? He doesn’t want to pry if it’s invasive... “I mean -- there’s really nothing else up? You don’t feel sick, or nervous, or something?”
