Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud Photo 1) There is a new 36 ton sculpture composed of uppermost horizontal girders of the truss section of the, now demolished, eastern span of the Bay Bridge. Tom Laughlin is the artist and he calls this work "Signal". The public opening is not until September 22, 2019 so maybe that is why it wasn't humming. Photo 2) is for perspective facing Yerba Buena Island. Here is the link for the public opening: https://www.signalsf.com/ Photo 3) Put 1 + 1 together and it looks like Chef Parke Ulrich's Mersea Restaurant is expanding or moving into a much larger temporary facility in time for the September 22 "Signal" opening?🤯 Also in photo 3) is the new concrete pad with brand new stainless steel benches. I have photos with the old decrepit concrete and rebar benches. They're classics now. .. Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud WHAT??? A Crane? Is that all you got? It was foggy and cool this morning on Treasure Island. I was shooting-the-moon yesterday and I saw other things but they didn't register. The crane in this photo is building the Treasurer Island Ferry Terminal that opens in 2021. Ground breaking was on September 10. Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud I went out to photograph "moonset" this morning from Treasure Island. The Golden Gate Bridge was hazy with fog. I used a tri-pod for the first time in 6 months. I was kicking myself for not going to Alameda. That was the spot for full moon over San Francisco. This full moon is setting over Fort Point.
