what's a trope you really enjoy reading that you don't see enough of in fics?

Forced marriage - and I don't just mean arranged marriage or something similar. I mean forced, threatened, do this or supreme consequences. I never see that and I think it would be really interesting to see explored. Will they end up liking each other in the end? Hating one another more? Will it become like some sort of combined Stockholm Syndrome? How will it all play out?
Mind control/brainwashing - has the very real potential to become extremely dead dove, but I think that just makes it more interesting. Alter those brains, control the minds and actions of someone. Have fun with it! It's just fanfiction. Explore a little.
Darkfic - and of course this exists everywhere, but there's dark fic and then there's darkfic. I very much want to see more of the later, and it's something that is both difficult to find and difficult for most to do, I think, which is very understandable. But I think if you're going dark, just go DARK.
