I was tagged by two lovelies, ignorus and junejuly15. Thank you!
Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag 5 friends (I just picked a number), including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them.
I have done this one in the past, a few months ago. I don't remember what books I listed but I guarantee these will be mostly different because yeah. Some of these are books that shaped my thoughts or different periods of my life, some are books that gave me book hangovers lasting weeks or sometimes years. Feel free to ask me about any of them, if you want to get an earful. :)
1. J.R.R. Tolkien - The Silmarillion
2. Jack Kerouac - The Dharma Bums
4. E.R. Eddison - Mistress of Mistresses
5. Ray Bradbury - The Martian Chronicles
6. Walter M. Miller - A Canticle for Leibowitz
7. Madeleine L'Engle - A Swiftly Tilting Planet
8. Shel Silverstein - Where the Sidewalk Ends
9. Nick Bantock - Griffin and Sabine
10. William Shakespeare - Hamlet (this counts as a book I say)
11. Anne Rice - Interview with the Vampire
12. China Miéville - Perdido Street Station
13. Tom Wolfe - The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test
14. Jean Craighead George - My Side of the Mountain
I must stop here or I'll never stop. I tag these lovely people: thescreechowl, deducemesir, jackie-illustration, strangerontheinside, marcus-erronius, you-keep-me-right-jw, lunadax, and violetcurmudgeon. Also, anyone else who wants to do it and sees this, please do it, and also tag me so I can see your lists. :)
