How THE FUCK is Circe getting a show/movie before The Song of Achilles????
Ahhhhhh!!!
So, apparently I’ve hit 1,000 followers, and that is freakin bonkers!
I never thought I’d ever have a social media account hit that many followers, this is honestly bizarre. I’m glad all of you share in the beauty (and extreme pain) of loving “The Song of Achilles” with me! I appreciate each and every one of you.
Thank you for following me and sticking with me! I know I don’t post much, but I’m very picky about the content I reblog.
Feel free to message me anytime if you’d like, my inbox is always... empty.
Next month will be one year since I read TSoA. Today I skimmed my digital copy (I have a hard copy, digital copy, and audio). The place I left off when I last read (I was working on turning the book into a screenplay) was when Achilles was cleaning up Patroclus’ ashes and I legit almost started crying on the spot.
I’m definitely not ready to read it again.
I still love this book and this story and it has a strong hold on my heart yet.
Thank you to all 822 of you! I’m surprised that my followers keep growing but I love all of you and am glad I can share this with you!
A playlist featuring Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and others
I’m not sure if people care, but this is the #Patrochilles playlist I created awhile ago. I just created a spotify today so I could do this.
These are all songs I listened to after reading TSoA the first time. It’s all pop songs. It’s super gay. I felt that all these songs had something in the lyrics that could be applied to Patroclus and Achilles at some point in their relationship.
I couldn’t listen to “Talk Me Down” for a while cause it would legit make me cry thinking about Achilles after Patroclus died.
I hope you guys enjoy, let me know your feelings... if anyone actual gives this any attention.
I read...
TSoA back in February and every time I think about it I still feel wrecked. Wtf. This book has an unbelievable hold on me.
Sooo
I’m writing a story where the gods are still around, but hide amongst us. The main character unknowingly goes on a date with Zeus, and Zeus falls for him. Then they have to deal with Hera and it’s the main character’s job to get all the gods/goddesses to restore Olympus so Hera will let them be.
I’ve got like a chapter done and it’s the most dedicated I’ve been to a writing project in a long time.
The Song of Achilles / Madeline Miller
Achilles: because, Patroclus, I’m gay!
Patroclus: I know, Achilles, that’s how you end every phone call.
