Tomorrow at 11 a.m. EST I will be unveiling the very first episode of my new vlog series, I Have a Lot of Opinions! I’m very excited to share it with the world finally, and the best part is it’s really easy to podcast while you do other work or scroll through tumblr or whatever!

The release of “I Have a Lot of Opinions” grows ever closer, brethren!

IHLO will hopefully be released within the next couple of weeks, and of course I will link to it then. If anyone doesn’t know what I’m talking about and wants to know, here’s the link to my original post about it. I hope to see you all there!

I’m finally gonna start a YouTube show

I always say I’d like to so now I’m gonna follow through, but this time I’m gonna prepare properly and try not to drop it after like three videos

This is going to be a master post of what I want the show to be and what inspirations I want to draw from. If you’re interested or you have suggestions or ideas feel free to message me or send an ask or whatever

The show will effectively be a simple vlog-style show where I discuss literally whatever I want. The consistency is in the way I talk about stuff. I want to run it very casually and intelligently. Each episode will focus on analyzing a topic a bit deeper than the surface, but not as deeply as an expert or more specialized channel would. Topics will be very eclectic since it’s basically decided by whatever I feel like talking about that day. Suggestions will be taken but a suggestion doesn’t guarantee that topic. I’m gonna try to release three videos a week, probably on a MWF schedule.

The tentative title for the show, and the one I like best is “I Have a Lot of Opinions.” I feel like that’s fairly encompassing of both the direction I want the show to go and my personality.

Below will be some of my inspirations and what I want to draw from them:

CrashCourse / Informative, quick analysis. Suggestions for further research. Gives a working knowledge of the subject at hand. Jump cuts to maintain tempo. Segment names (maybe)

Egoraptor / (Sequelitis in particular) In-depth opinion discussion with an equal focus on entertaining. Intelligent, thought-through commentary. I love Egoraptor

Gbay99 / Casual, articulate discussions. Generally unscripted. Fun to listen to without trying to be

TrumpSC / Fun, casual, chilled out. Not trying to be entertaining.

Direwolf20 / Very chill, friendly atmosphere. Casually educational

CGP Grey / Very dense, fast-talking content. In-depth analysis.

Philip DeFranco / Jump cuts to maintain tempo, interjection of opinions, sparks discussion. Segment names (maybe)

I’ll add to this post as I think of other people I want to try and emulate. I’ll make more posts as the actual release of the first episode draws closer. Remember to feel free to give me suggestions and ideas! I want this channel to be fun for me if nothing else, but if it takes hold and resonates with some people that would be awesome too!
