I actually realized that Ladaral is not a Hufflepuff at all. Though he certainly has the sense of hard work and the lesson of whoever wants to can learn, Hufflepuff values are... not really what he values most? I almost said Ravenclaw, but at the same time he may be intelligent and puts a lot of emphasis on learning, but that’s still not what he values the most. The same goes for his cleverness and ambition for Slytherin. Over all he values kindness and doing good for other people and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that. He values bravery by standing up for others. He values chivalry. Ladaral may not be a loud and boisterous man constantly seeking a thrill. He’s content to sit back and plan and wait, but ultimately he will make a decision in the end and will follow through on it, because it’s whatever he thinks is the right thing to do. Ladaral is a Gryffindor. His secondary house, despite all of said as well, is actually Slytherin. His morals, goals, and ideal, who he is as a person is a Gryffindor, but his methods are Slytherin. He adapts and changes depending on the situation at hand though things like his experience and his knowledge. The best example of all of this? He turned so readily on the Evanuris, the people he called friends, because they were morally wrong. And then he used his connections to them against them, easily lying and spying his way through the war. I would say that he could easily fall into the other houses for the traits alone, but he is a Gryffindor with some Slytherin tendencies and his deeper need for a goal that is worthy and for others outweighs any “for me and mine” that primary Slytherins tend to have.
