Muse Development Questions | ACCEPTING 

2. What was the best thing in your character’s life?Reclaiming Erebor and defeating Smaug. Thorin has been dreaming of this opportunity for many years and for so long he’s always thought it would remain just a dream, until it didn’t… Sadly, canon-wise, he didn’t get to enjoy much of that victory.

3. What was the worst thing in your character’s life?Definitely losing his home, his mother and many other Dwarves to Smaug when he first came to Erebor to claim the Lonely Mountain for his own, chasing the Dwarves from their home and forcing them into a life of exile.

6. How does your character feel about sex?The thought of sex often makes him feel weird. He’s not necessarily someone who needs it and often tends to think of it as something rather functional. As a king, Thorin is aware he might want to put an heir on this world one day, he just wishes to do so together with the right partner, which is something he finds himself struggling with, a lot.

7. How many friends does your character have?A lot more than he likes to think… Thorin is quite loved among his people.

          The sun setting over the horizon cast a beautifully painted sky against the ocean. Once there was a SHIP, but her eyes could see it no more -- only the gentle waves as the wind carried her mother further away -- toward Valinor -- toward peace. Yet, her heart was heavy so that her feet had not moved for two days since that ship was last seen, growing smaller in her sight. 

          The footfalls behind her had been the first for her retrieval -- it was time to return home. Tears stained pale cheeks as she turned at last from hollowed beauty of the sea, her gaze meeting a blue more beautiful still. Concern lie in his eyes, and she dropped her gaze at last; voice whispering harshly with mingled breeze. 

             “She is GONE...”

evergreen forests and arrows. sif & legolas  — @iicalenglad [liked for a starter]

Sif’s arrow hits just below Legolas’s, effectively missing the centre and losing the bet. With a muttered curse, she lowers her posture, setting her bow down with a huff. “You win the archery bout. But it remains to be said that I would very easily win in hand-to hand combat against you.” It is a poor attempt to heal her wounded pride. 

She hasn’t been in Mirkwood long, but Odin has requested her presence there a while more in the interest of pleasing the king of the elves. In doing so, Sif had become odd friends with the prince, mostly in respect for his abilities in battle. Training was more than just training - it was a bonding practice too.

“Here, Legolas, would you mind tasting this for me?” A warm plate of food is set down in front of the prince as the question leaves his lips, not giving the Elf much time to answer one way or the other. It certainly smelled like something he had eaten during one of the wood evles’ many celebrations, but he wasn’t quite certain if he had gotten the flavor of it perfected just yet.

          Gentle breeze stirred the leaves above her head, her feet swung slowly in time with the swaying branches. It was SELDOM she found herself so high above the ground, for climbing was not her most skilled sport -- but this day drew her to the sky -- her fëa spirited towards the clouds.

          "I see why you enjoy it up here, but I cannot unwill               the desire for my feet upon the ground."
