Tenya cleared his throat awkwardly, he never had been good with his emotions “for what it’s worth, Yaoyorozu, if anything at all, I’ve always been quite fond of you. In fact I believe everyone who has met you has come away fond of you! Which is why I have never- forgive me-“ Tenya shook his head why was this so scary? Of all the things he had done, this was the most daunting? He had known Momo for so long! “I like you a great deal. That is all I meant to say. Now. I will take my leave. I am sure you have many things to attend to.” He nodded once, turning around to leave, angry with himself for only having said a portion of what he wanted to say, but also not wanting to make his classmate uncomfortable.
When Tenya had come around to talk to her, Momo wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Of all things she could've guessed, this wouldn't have even made the top of the list. She'd have figured he'd come for a second opinion or some advice even, but growing feelings for her? This caught her entirely by surprise.
It took her a moment to fully register his words, and only when she had, did she respond.
"Iida, you've nothing to apologize for, really... Feelings happen, and that's okay." She told him softly, even going as far as reaching a hand out to his and gently taking ahold of it before he'd had the chance to leave. She'd much rather he stayed, at least until she said her piece.
"I'm flattered, truly. We've been through so much together as is, and I too, have grown fonder of you during all this time... I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it. You're much braver than I am, actually admitting it aloud."
And she meant it. Momo still had to work on her confidence at times, but it was certainly easier now that Tenya had made the first move.
"I've actually finished all my work for the day, so umm... if you're not too busy we could maybe do something together, and continue talking?"
She'd offered a little shyly, finally releasing his hand from her grasp. Hopefully she didn't sound too awkward.
