"Midoriya-kun!" He exclaims softly when he spots his friend in the dorm kitchen. He rushes over to him without another word and wraps his arms around him in a tight hug, holding him close. He normally wasn't one to initiate physical contact with others, but Midoriya was always an exception to this rule. Especially when he knew the other boy might be feeling down. "I heard you had a bad day! Are you okay?"
In truth, he was having a hard day. It wasn’t even if anything in particular had happened. He’d just woken up with the feeling of something being….off. That feeling had bled over into everything else the boy attempted that day; be it notes in classes to hero training. Heck, he’d even just burned his attempt at a comfort food dinner.
The hug surprised him, an intake of breath - he considered pulling away, and telling the other he was just fine. Still, the tears blinked out of his eyes, even surprising himself - nuzzling himself into his friend’s arms, his own coming up to cuddle him back, trying to stop his tears.
“I-It’s….been a bad day.” A small hiccup. “I just…woke up feeling…..really bad. Not physically, I’m o-okay there, b-but…bad. A-and I couldn’t focus in classes and all, I don’t have very good n-notes….and now my d-dinner is r-ruined, and got nothing else to m-make…” He was properly crying by the end, not even sure why. Not able to help himself, he leaned his full weight into his friend, trying hard to calm himself down. The embrace was helping; and it was just what he needed.
