MJ Mondays... in 1990 I remember 1st time seeing these at the playground on a rich kid from the U.K. during recess. He was literally surrounded by all of us kids admiring his feet. Now this was a time during the Pump wars vs Reebok. I always thought that the newest Air Jordans would have them. When I seen the puffed up ankle collar I instantly thought “damn that’s where u Pump the shoe!” And then I seen this red button by the tongue...I’m like “holy that must be the release valve!!” Then I seen this clear part on the mid sole i was like “good lord that’s ALOT of air bubble all over the bottoms!”... and then I seen this glowing bright light beaming on the tongue... I was like “HOLY SHIT what the fuck is that!?”... can you believe what us 10-12yr olds went through back then?? This shoe was nothing like we’ve ever seen before. We were looking at this kid like he was an Alien LOL... oh yea he had the black metallic pair too. I begged my mom for a pair & finally got em that spring of 90. For those who don’t understand... it’s MORE than just a shoe to us.
