hi there. may i have an ikesen matchup? i'm fairly tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. i'm also a scorpio. i love graphic design and was even going to go to school for it until i got into meteorology lmfaoo. i love to bake and sleep. i'm sorta closed off until i get to know you. i'm a big wrestling fan too. i love the color pink. i'm more of an observer, and can tell when people are lying as well. i also wear my heart on my sleeve. thank you in advance, and have a wonderful day~

Wearing your heart on your sleeve while being closed off sounds like a contradictory combination, but you know who else does that? Ieyasu. Porcupine Tokugawa likes to think he’s hiding how much he cares about everyone, but let’s be real, the man has zero poker face. He’s not stupid though; he can see through you as easily as you can see through him. 

He doesn’t really start to warm up to you until the day you find him angrily trashing a batch of medicinal herbs that went moldy because he harvested them just before a week of rain. Obviously in the Sengoku era you don’t have access to weather stations and so on, but your base knowledge is enough that you can help him predict long stretches of hot weather for and preserving medicinal herbs. Then you start making him cute labels for all his jars and pots of salves, tinctures, and treatments. Helping him work (and annoying the hell out of him while you do it) gives you the opportunity to get closer to each other. He even (reluctantly) admits to liking how much taller than him you are, although archery muscles mean he’s more than capable of throwing you over his shoulder and carrying you off when the tension finally snaps.

Hi there! : D I would like to request a match up with ikesen warlord. I'm quite introvert and people always have a hard time to approach me or figure out what I'm thinking cause I usually have a blank expression face. But once they get to know me I am actually so carefree and can laugh & smile easily. It is also hard for me to get angry and I'm also very shy and clueless to flirting. I'm also forgetful and clueless (like forget to bring my purse, lost something that I just got 5 minutes ago).

Yukimura is an awkward lad, so it should come as no surprise that it’s Muramasa that brings you together, not any action on either of your parts. The wolf pup wanders off, as he tends to get bored when sitting by Yuki’s shop-blanket for hours on end, and it’s up to you to get him back to his owner! No, really, look at how lost and alone I am, please help me and also treats? You’re not convinced this strangely huge dog (?) pup really needs your help, but he is adorable and it’s not like you had anything better to do this afternoon. Yukimura grouches at him for running around and bothering strangers, but gruffly thanks you for returning him all the same. The brief smile you give him has him red to the ears.

The next time he sees you, you’re walking along staring at the ground, so hard you bump into him before you realise he’s there. You’ve lost your purse, again. Yukimura sighs, rolls up his wares, and brings Muramasa to heel to help you find it. You find the purse fairly quickly with the wolf’s sharp nose to help, but somehow the two of you forget to part ways until the sun sets.

Yukimura’s gotten used to blank expressions after four years of friendship with Sasuke. He’s not bothered by your solemn face at all, but it does mean he’s startled the first time he hears you laugh (who wouldn’t laugh at a wolf pup trying to be a lap dog?). He starts trying to come up with ways to bring that laughter to the surface again, and is surprised when it turns out to be much easier than he expected.

Once again, it’s up to Muramasa to get things steaming ahead, and the little brat gets his way by licking your face in affectionate joy, then squirming out of the way when Yuki tries to rescue you. Yukimura ends up with an armful of Cherry instead of an armful of wolf, and you’re not letting him get away.

Melancholic overthinker is pretty much Kennyo in a nutshell, so you and the former monk vibrate at the same frequency. 

When you first encounter Kennyo, he dismisses you as a naive child; your sense of humour clashes with his overly serious approach to life. You can clearly see the man is walking wounded though, and keep seeking him out. He’s resigned himself to your presence (or so he thinks), but actually starts enjoying your conversation when you go off on a comparative mythology tear about Buddhist versus Shinto beliefs. He tells himself he’s only listening to correct any incorrect assumptions you may have about his faith, but eventually the monologue turns into a discussion. It takes a while for his topics to turn from the academic to the personal - eventually you piece together his history with Nobunaga and the tragedy of Hongan-ji. You’re the only person he’s spoken to about it who isn’t another monk affected by it or a mercenary ally. Before you, his burning fury for vengeance has been the only reason to speak of it, but you can offer compassion and understanding, allowing him to grieve for his former home in a way he’s never permitted himself. 

Processing his grief seems to temper his rage; he’s never going to stop hating Nobunaga, but you’ve given him the ability to focus on other things. One of those things, inevitably, is you! Kennyo is not designed to be traditionally romantic, but he learns the signs of your own melancholy spirals and deliberately invokes your curiosity to stave them off. He drags you all over the countryside: tea houses, temples, nature hikes to sacred waterfalls, anywhere in southern Japan he thinks he can find something to pique your interest. At night, he allows himself the comfort of holding you close when you make camp, trying to convince himself it’s just for warmth. You get to be the one to remind him that since he’s broken all his other monkly vows, celibacy isn’t such a big deal, particularly not when it can make the two of you so happy.

💎 Hello! May I have a ship for ikesen? I'm 5' 3" with three dimples as my trademark. I'm a quiet, socially awkward, loser who can't maintain eye contact at all. I'd jump off a cliff than start a conversation. When I open up, I have the biggest mouth and am a sarcastic/dramatic meme queen with savage insults/comebacks. Since I'm 100% trash, I don't care about what others think of me and live as the coolest piece of garbage ever. I'm also super paranoid and always need to achieve perfection.

💎 When needed, I am serious/observant and fall into deep thought. When I care about something, I dedicate all my time towards it. Although I act dumb, I think logically. I have a tough-lough relationship with friends, but they always come to me for ranting/dvice. I also mastered the art of catfishing bc I, a dead rat, become a gorgeous model due to makeup. Hideyoshi finds you infuriating at first. You mouth off to Nobunaga (“How can you let him talk to you that way?”). You reorganise Mitsunari’s library (“It was inefficient!”). You refuse to wear women’s kimono (“I can’t get anything done in these clothes.”). You get into a fight with Ieyasu (“He started it.” [He really did]). You and Masamune fall off a cliff into a lake and drip water all over the castle when you get home. You are a disruption to Hideyoshi’s carefully organised life and home and he hates it. Except --

Nobunaga thinks you’re hilarious. Mitsunari says he can find everything much quicker these days. You clean floors and run errands faster than any of the maids. Ieyasu actually steps it back a notch when you’re in the room. Masamune . . . well, Masamune’s incorrigible. 

It’s Masamune and Mitsuhide who manage to rein Hideyoshi in the day you organise a general strike of the maids and cooks of Azuchi Castle. Masamune restrains him physically, long enough for Mitsuhide to explain that you discovered a group of the minor retainers (Sengoku-era Chads, the lot of them) have been harassing the servants, safe in the knowledge that samurai can do whatever they want. It’s thanks to them that by the time you show up with your list of demands (essentially: ‘make them fucking stop’), Hideyoshi is  impressed, a little bit in love, and 100% on your side.

Yukimura and you are two of a kind: blunt, a little rough around the edges, but ultimately soft-hearted and loyal. Yuki will accuse you of witchcraft and being a boar-woman, particularly when you show up in hakama instead of women’s kimono, but he is forced to admit that it’s easier to rock out in pants. And rock out you will, once you figure out a way to replicate industrial music on medieval Japanese instruments. I’m thinking you can probably get a 2 cellos or apocalyptica vibe going once you get your hands on a shamisen or kokyu, and Yuki will make a great percussion section on a taiko. Just tell him to pretend he’s doing spear kata and beat in time with his footwork.

Hi, I was wondering if I could get an ikesen matchup if they're open? I'm a straight female. I'm 5'6 in height with medium length black hair and dark brown eyes with lighter brown in them which can look gold in certain lights. I enjoy reading, writing and singing (I do performances whenever I can). Before you get to know me I am considered pretty weird as I don't really talk or look at people, but when you do get to know me I'm sassy, sarcastic and love banter. I'm very calm person when needed.

It’s kind of an accident, honestly. Nobunaga loses interest in you when you have trouble responding to his goading, and no one’s really sure what to do with you. Finally, in a fit of crankiness, Ieyasu suggests dumping you, the person who won’t look anyone in the eye, on Mitsunari, the person who’s never looking for eye contact anyways. Hideyoshi and Mitsuhide consider the proposition, shrug, and that’s that. You’re Mitsunari’s responsibility now. Mitsunari, with his usual immunity to sarcasm, sincerely thanks Ieyasu for trusting him with someone’s well-being.

For all he’s in need of a keeper regarding his own daily needs, Mitsunari does take his responsibility to you seriously. Unlike the rest of the warlords, who tend to make assumptions about what you want (Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu) or resort to clever tricks to find out (Masamune, Mitsuhide), Mitsunari simply asks outright what he can provide to make you happy. Your room suddenly sprouts a desk and an infinitely replenishing supply of paper and ink. He shows you to the library, and helps you find something interesting in among the stacks of military history and strategy. He’s unbothered by your lack of eye contact and short answers (honestly, does he even notice?) and that makes it easy for you to reach out and ask for help when the medieval writing style proves challenging for you. Your friendship really blossoms when he finds you a few volumes of the Man’yoshu, and you start setting the poems to music. He helps you figure out the instruments available to you in the Sengoku, and when you’re ready to unveil your work, your first performance is a private one, for him.

Shyness isn’t an issue for the One-Eyed Dragon. He loves a chance to get to know someone and you look like you’ll be able to keep up -- or maybe even outrun him. You will, unfortunately, have to sacrifice sleeping in. Masamune plans to sleep when he’s dead, and not before. Even before you become physically intimate, he’ll keep you up at night, reading and discussing zen poetry. 

Your forgiving nature lets you balance out Masamune’s tendency to carry the world on his shoulders. When you realise he’s still punishing himself for his father’s death, it’s your compassion that helps him lay that ghost to rest and move forward on the path to happiness. You’re the only person able to remind him that his own loyalty to Oshu and his people doesn’t mean working himself to death to care for them.

The angel warlord easily catches your attention as someone who really needs a keeper. He has a tendency to forget the basics of existence, like eating and sleeping, in favour of reading. You end up striking a deal: You’ll read his tactical texts to him, if he promises to actually eat the bread you’ve baked for him while you do it. At some point the noise of eating stops, and you pause in your reading to glance over and see he’s fallen asleep. He’ll be terribly embarrassed when he wakes up, but so pleased that you stayed to make sure his rest wasn’t interrupted. 

Eventually this becomes a routine for you two, until the night you end up drifting off next to him after reading him to sleep. He can be oblivious, to be sure, but even Mitsunari can’t ignore the joy it brings him to wake up cradling you against him, and that morning you become lovers instead of just friends.
