Unpopular opinion (or maybe popular… who knows)
IkeSen’s english localization (read that again: localization not direct translation), is absolutely superb because when subtly changing Ikesen MC’s personality to a more witty, outspoken individual (bless her), it brings so much more interesting dynamics and chemistry to the table, and her outspokenness being made more apparent in the english version makes it more obvious she’s from the 21st century… and it really hammers it home that MC was truly raised in a whole different era with different values than the warlords…. and that makes the connection, them seeing eye-to-eye, and romance all the more satisfying. I’m looking at the stark difference of chemistry between eng mc/mitsuhide, eng mc/motonari, eng mc/nobunaga… (compared to her jpn counterpart) i can go on and on
and yup, I adore the team’s take on Motonari’s dialogue too ‼️ adds so much more charm to him
i’ve been seeing such a hostile reaction to his preview trailer because he used “savvy” and was just baffled LMAO it’s not THAT weird/cringey… i’ve seen some people make it sound like it’s the end of the world 🤨
