Here are some of the good guy side characters!

We learn a little bit of how badass Ikeyni is, also something about Tarsem (and god forbid we forget he is wise beyond his years, lol). I like how Mo'at encourages the Omatikaya warriors to use metal weapons, so long as they do a cleansing ritual after every use.

Poor Ian Garvin was just trying to study Pandora's marine life when he was forced into helping with the tulkun hunts. Glad he finally snapped in this movie though. Hopefully his protest was noted, lol.

And we finally get the name and picture of Norm's wife and kids! I mean, we already knew about his daughter Popiti, who is Tuktirey's friend, but now we know his wife is named Mutxuk and the other child (a son?) is called Tuvat.

And Max has a wife too! Her name is Nora.

y/n’s daughter has a nightmare and comes to her mother and ikeyni for comfort.

a/n: d/n means daughters name, this is my test drive for writing ikeyni. yes ik that’s tuk just imagine it’s your kid sshh also taking a break from smut to post this

soft candlelight painted the walls of the cave as the sound of waves hit the rocks below. the familiar ambiance calms ikeyni.

it lulls her into comfort. her heart, y/n, lay in her arms. ikeyni sighs as she kisses y/n on the side of her head. y/n was fast asleep. ikeyni knew she was soon to follow. exhaustion ran through her body.

she didn’t hear the small taps of d/n’s timy feet pattering across the cave ground. “sa’nok? (mother?) keyni?”

upon hearing the small voice, sleep immediately left ikeyni. something was amiss. ikeyni leans up from her bed. “what is it little one?” she calmly asks, worry starting to etch in her face on seeing the tears upon the child’s face. “why are you crying?”

d/n grabs onto her soft ikran toy, holding it close to her chest. she wipes her eyes and sniffs. “ugly dreams.”

ikeyni feels her heart lower. she keeps her voice steady. “oh no…would you like me to get your mother?”

d/n nods. “want my mommy.”

“yes? okay, i’ll get her up,” replies ikeyni.

ikeyni now takes in y/n closer, hovering above her. admiring for only a moment. she leans down and kisses behind y/n’s ear. y/n shoots awake. “yeah? what? d/n…” y/n seems to say all at once, still plagued by sleep.

ikeyni smiles. “ssh love. it’s just little one.” she leans her head back behind her, pointing to d/n.

y/n immediately looks to her daughter. her heart breaks seeing her baby in such a state of unrest. “come here d/n.” y/n says. she scoots over and makes room for d/n.

ikeyni gets out of the bed and crouches to lift d/n. “uppies.” she says.

d/n laughs and reaches up for ikeyni. “uppies!” she repeats.

ikeyni laughs and lifts her up. she places the child on her hip and walks back to her bed. d/n crawls from ikeyni’s arms into the bed, and into y/n’s out stretched arms.

“bad dreams again d/n?” y/n asks, wiping the tears off of her small face.

d/n nods. “mm-hmm. bad one last night.”

“what happened?”

d/n hides her face for a moment. “it’s alright little one. you are safe with us.” ikeyni says. she enters the bed slowly, not daring to disturb y/n and d/n.

y/n could tell d/n was scared. y/n runs a hand through her curls. “you can tell me. you can tell me anything.” y/n whispers. “if you want… i just love you.”

“sky people.” d/n ears twitched. “it was sky people.”

“d/n, the sky people can’t hurt us here. you’re safe here, with mama, and keyni.” y/n replies. “you’re safe.”

tears began to flood d/n’s eyes. “they took mommy away. they were going to hurt her. even keyni couldn’t save her.” d/n turns towards ikeyni and collapses into her lap, now in tears. “they took mommy!”

ikeyni sighs and look down at the exhausted girl now crying in her lap. “oh sweet girl.” y/n says. she rubs her forehead. d/n’s nightmares had only been getting worse.

d/n had overheard some na’vi men talking about the battle and destruction in the cove of the ancestors.

“someone must have said soemthing to scare her so.” y/n runs a finger throughout d/n’s hair, placing a strand behind her small ear. “how i wish i could take these away.”

ikeyni gently shushes the both of them. “d/n, did you know that if any sky people were to come down, my ikran, will come down” she grabs the toy from d/n’s hands. “and she will-crunch!” ikeyni imitates her ikran with the toy, dramatically waving its wings, miming eating.

the show makes d/n laugh. a laugh that y/n hadn’t heard in days. y/n watches the two, the exhaustion takes her body but her heart fills with love.

“no sky people keyni?” d/n grabs ikeyni’s hand with her small one, curling her small fingers around ikeyni’s large palm.

ikeyni shakes her head. “no little one. no sky people.”

“d/n, would you want to sleep with us or do you want to try and sleep on your own?” y/n asks.

“can i say with you and keyni, mommy?”

“of course you can. come on,” y/n shifts and holds her child close to her. “i love you d/n.”

“it was so brave that you told us.” ikeyni adds.

d/n nods, sleep had come for her. she found comfort and safety in her mothers arms. and in knowing keyni was there too. she would protect them all.

y/n gently rocks her daughter to sleep and hums. ikeyni watches from the other side of the bed.

“i’m sorry she woke you.” y/n whispers.

“don’t be, i’m glad she did. nightmares are terrible, especially for a child as small as her.” ikeyni smiles down at d/n, now asleep in y/n’s arms, a calm look on her still tear-stained face. “but she’s safe now.”

“she trusts you.” y/n whispers firmly. “she loves you.”

“and i love her. and you.” she kisses y/n on the forehead. “get some rest yawne (beloved). i’ll be here when you both wake.”

there's a female na'vi clan leader present in both A1 and A3 with a unique design and she gets an entry in faa's artbook with her name, that's so great!

i really love her design and the fact she gets to fight alongside toruk makto 2 times in her life, that's such a flex, she looked so honored when greeting jake in faa. i'm pretty sure she was the 1st one to reply to neytiri's battle cry to attack in FAA, i was so happy with the amount of screen time she was given
