I just realized that iKON joined another survival program just to secure their popularity in China.. but then China blocked everything about KR. It must’ve felt frustrating. They literally practiced to death for that program but they were cut out in the last 3(?) episodes, even the announcement about them winning the whole program.. The fame they deserved was gone. The buzz that it could create didn’t happen.

Probably the warmest sentence i’ve heard from June in Kony’s Summertime (or maybe since i’ve known him) wasn’t when he was thanking his co-members and saying he’ll be good to them after they helped him ‘climb’ up the wall. It wasn’t when he thanked the members when they planned a surprise birthday party for him neither.

It was when the staffs asked him to read his mother’s letter. He looked at his mother’s letter and smiled. “Ahh.. andwaeyooo. We are all going to cry” showing that he knows his co-members very well and cares enough not to make it happen.

I found this very heartwarming, because sometimes, it is not the most straight forward things that touches us all. Sometimes, it’s those hidden care that always manages to slip through one’s mouth. 💖
