less morose and more present//ysj&mjy
he had no schedule for the week, instead he was given a break from his manager who assured joonyoung that he needed it with all the back to back dramas, commercials, and photoshoots he had been working on. it was kind and thoughtful and much needed and appreciated, but for a workaholic like joonyoung, without anything to do, he felt empty.
boredom had done away with his peace on this particular day and had left him restless, craving a walk in the city, an escape from the confinement of walls in his apartment and the hardening air, almost stale from enclosure. so he obeyed, it seemed, with obedience, with a sense of duty and a fluid demeanor.
he slipped on shoes, found his keys, grabbed his phone, took his wallet–a myriad of actions, each small, each a note from a much larger piece of music that consisted of fatigue and leisure, of dying seconds and the soft shine of the sun on his skin.
the shine that quickly died out and was replaced by gray clouds and heavy raindrops just midst walking back home. he should have checked the weather before going out.
the café he was near was packed to the brim, but with the pouring summer rain outside and no umbrella in hand, it seemed joonyoung had no other option than to seek shelter for the time being. to sit down and find something warm to drink at least until the storm died.
eyes scan around for a menu, but the first thing he sees is her. and it feels like he simply just can’t avoid her no matter how hard he tries. yet, he falls to her every time, no matter how hard he wants to hold onto a grudge and grip the bare amount of pride he has, he falls just for her by simple instinct and not sense. as much as he wants to bite his lips and walk back out to the wet street, he finds her approaching him and all he can do is hold his breath.
