When you get corruption in law enforcement at the top it infects the whole system. That is like a big leech making a whole bunch of leech ghouls that are semi-vampiric non-vampires with some sort of awareness of how to inflict psychic pain for sadistic pleasure, but usually without the experience necessary to understand what they are doing.

This is a problem because the leech is a leech not a kindred. They are some malformed abomination without dignity that is not welcome in the higher circles of the courts where certain standards have to be met. You know how it is.

They are a person who succumbed to the vamphyrikoi beast instead of maintaining dominance as the human host, which is why they do weird animal things and perverse behaviors that are just… inappropriate and better left unknown.

We all do weird stuff, but imagine if you just took over another persons body from another dimension? Bit into their soul, fused with the mortal fibers of individual context, and then totally dominated their will to become the superior intelligence and decision maker for that persons body.

I suppose it depends on how deep into the darkness you go. There is a certain depth where all beings start attracting those kinds of companions and are never seen without some sort of undead bond with an eternally dead entity of some sort.

That’s a real problem. The Way of the Story can possibly reverse the condition and help coax dominance back into their soul and reinspire their soul to thirst for God’s goodness again, but… that is only a theory.

I’ve never had the misfortune to attempt such a ritual reconciliation for a person’s sins. I don’t know how I would do it, but I do not believe it is impossible nor a bad idea to try.

I’ll… good goddess, your name is the music to my soul.
