also sweet potato sushi is like, a sweet potato fry wrapped in nori and rice

I’m actually not a huge fan of normal sushi because the texture is weird but I could eat sweet potato sushi for daaaaaaays

I am so on Criminal Minds. (Yes I love it, but it also plays on ION constantly which you only need an antenna to watch!) What was the last episode you watched? New season is good, I think you'd love Alex Blake and I won't give spoilers on other stuff just in case. :)

See, when they made the switch to DTV, our converter box didn’t work, and even before that, we couldn’t get ION unless we moved the TV to a specific spot and fiddled with the settings on the VHS/DVD player. We did eventually get cable but not until after I went to college, and I didn’t take a television with me either to college or to law school, and I haven’t had the urge to wait until Netflix gets it.

So, last episode I ever watched would have been sometime in 2008?

Man I feel like this pops up anytime you mention your age anywhere. I've known ya since khaos and for some reason I always think you're older than me and I get like a full shock when I realize you're about 3 years younger.

Hey BB <3 On the Olympics thing (&I'm a fan, it's the only time I can support Finland state side & people know what's going on +1 winter sports), but the opening ceremony was 100% non-stop commentated on. I thing the longest pause was maybe for a minute before they started talking again? + what's her butt plugged in her new show/book whatever over a part of it too. It was followed by a brief notice of "hey if you download this app from NBC you can watch it without commentary tomorrow @ 'x' ".

(2/2 , forgot to put 1/2 but why this is sort of just an after thought, I don't know if it has anything to do with anything specific, but it was pretty rude? I mean, I only have vague memories now of older Olympics specials but I"m pretty sure you don't talk over 99% of the performance and then go "oh yeah- so if you get this tomorrow you can watch the full thing without us talking". Some of it was explanatory, but half the time I felt they just wanted to listen to themselves talk?

Sounds to me like a microtransaction in real time. Like they know you’re a captive audience and you WILL sit through their advertisements and unnecessary annoyances... unless there’s a little somethin’-somethin’ in it for them. Like maybe I’m too quick to jump to the criticisms of capitalism but that’s definitely the vibe I’m getting from your description.

A bunch of my favorites aren’t whisper things they’re just binaural recordings of stuff. There’s a few make up ones that I like, a few spa things, one of the weirdest kicks for me that I haven’t been able to find again ‘cause it was a brief live thing was actually a person recording their heart beat? Haircut things are a thing for me too, no talking or anything just the sound of a salon. Hearing test ASMR shit also is fun but hard to find a good one. (Ramble over.)

yeah i know it’s got more going on but it’s still not my jam. i know a ton of people who do use it tho so like keep on keeping on.

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried it, and it’s taken a lot of tries to find my faves but ASMR videos have done a lot of good calming me down for either sleep or other just taking some deep breaths.

I haven’t spent a ton of time listening to ASMR but it doesn’t really do much for me. To be honest people whispering or talking quietly around me also gets my anxiety up, especially if I’m trying to sleep. I think I’m the odd man out on that one.
