50. I really did not like this question when i saw it.How do yu know ‘why yu are single’?! because I’m 5”8, I work full time. When I’m home I sleep and eat. I watch ratchet TV. I’m curvy, and I love it. I go to the gym. I travel to Miami a lot (<—-Maybe thats why, lol) All my friends live in Queens, Brooklyn, Harlem; except for 1. IDK! I can not answer that. I really can’t, there has been guys i have been interested in, but these days most of them aren’t looking for the committed thing…. Just a Fuck. 

55. I’m jealous, I will admit. however, there is a way that i can prepare myself so I’m not THAT jealous. If i know I’m going to a party/bbq/kickback whatever, and the guy i like asks me if i’m going. I would straight up ask him, are any of your flows/ex’s/flings/tings, gonna be there? and how he answers would give me comfort. He SHOULD say, yea but i’m not worry about them. Or I asked yu if yu was going. Something that makes me want to become a submissive and be like yes I’ll go daddy. but if that is not done, I’m jealous.

Dead Silence

I read Dead Silence by Kimberly Derting about a month-ish ago.

(P.S. Not really/kinda spoilers after the jump.)

Please, forgive me if I don't write too much about this one. I know I liked it, as I polished it off within a couple days (if I remember correctly), but I honestly remember few specific details.

As I've reviewed the series before, I'll assume we all know the basics. 

SEMI/NOT REALLY SPOILERS

So, Violet's still in a crazy love triangle with Jay and Rafe, with Rafe becoming more appealing by the chapter (IMHO). Oh yeah, and serial killer stuff, as usual. Ya think Chelsea dies, but that would just make Violet depressed for another book and would prohibit anything else from happening.

By the end of the book, nothing's fully resolved. Another book is definitely in the works. There's no other way.

I liked this book, but am definitely getting annoyed with Violet. No joke.

I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Akata Witch

I finished Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor well over a month ago.

I've been negligent of my blog, yes. I've actually got a pretty good excuse for why I didn't post this review right away, which made it all the easier to put it off until now. This was a book I read for a book club I'm a member of [check us out!: http://yabookcouncil.com ], so I didn't want to complete a review before I'd really hashed out my opinion with the crew. 

So, here goes!

Akata Witch is the story of a girl named Sunny who is an American-born Nigeria girl who has recently moved to Nigerian with her family (it's important to make the distinctions here, I swear). Before too long, she finds out that she's actually magical, referred to as a "Leopard," and things get ever-so-slighty Harry Potter-y from there on out. We had lots of fun talking about the similarities at the book club meeting.

Anyway, it's been a while since I finished it, so I'll just get right down to the part where I spew my opinion. While I really enjoyed this book while I was reading it, I have to say that I don't remember a whole heck of a lot of the details now, only a month and a half later. I remember really enjoying the parts where Sunny figures out how to use her magic powers and essentially earns money for knowledge. The end of this book, however, was extremely anticlimactic. It really felt like this book was just laying the grounds for a series without having too much oomph on its own, you know what I mean? 

Cute, but not very memorable. Still, I gave it 3 out of 5 stars on Goodreads. I'd recommend this to anyone that enjoys witchy-type YA and wants a nice, light read.
