Is the world finally ready to admit that Clooney was an underrated Batman, Tim?
Idk if I would say underrated so much as none of it was his fault. Even though he blames himself. Tbh I don’t even blame Schumacher THAT much. The studio were the ones who rushed it into production, who meddled, who were mostly concerned with selling toys.
With a good script and tone, Clooney would have nailed Bruce - and I’m curious what his Batman would have been like.
As it is… ok Batman and Robin wasn’t what the people wanted at the time from a Batman movie. But there are so many different versions of Batman, and like. As a campy comedic version? Something like the 60’s show with a big budget? It’s harmless and inoffensive.
I said what I said.
“It killed the franchise!” No it didn’t. It took them eight years to release a new one. And since then there’s been multiple films and shows. People were and are just overdramatic, and I think as time goes on people just need to lighten up.
If you didn’t care for Clooney’s Batman, fine, there are like a dozen others you can watch - no one is forcing you to watch his.
