Please help my friend's cat who's in dire need of surgery
Hello, my name is Sherry and this is my cat, Yuji.
On November 28th, Yuji started showing signs of an upset stomach and began throwing up several times a day. He later stopped eating as often as he would, resulting in a quick trip to Vetco. There, it was determined that he was heavily dehydrated and was given something for it as well as nausea.
Fast forward 3 weeks, and he has been fed through a syringe due to his inability to digest dry food.
On Dec. 10, as he wss trying to relieve himself, we noticed a piece of string coming out of him. We eventually cut it off, and thought nothing of it.
Dec 12, Yuji was brought to urgent care where they conducted an xray. It was determined that a piece of string got tangled around his intestine which resulted in his inability to digest his food.
This surgery is needed to remove the string, but is still not a guaranteed solution. There is still a chance that they might need to remove a part of his intestine to do so.
With the holidays coming up, donating will help offset the surgery cost as well are any other necessary needs post surgery.
