The Earth Race joins Sea Shepherd Record setting boat, I got to tour below decks when it visited Newport Beach harbor, it is one spartan craft! NO claustrophobics on crew!
Sadly, Earth Race, (renamed Ady Gil), was sunk, literally rammed by Japanese whaling ship (many times larger) in a stand off in the Antarctic. The Ady Gil’s agility was no match for the much larger vessel, it tried to thwart illegal whaling underway.
