the phone call wasn’t what startled her,  but what she heard on the other end was what sent her nerves as high as they possibly could,  maybe even higher.    but she couldn’t tell just what exactly was happening on the other end of the line,  and for a moment she hated not knowing a teleportation spell.   it could have come in handy.   “aj,  what’s going on?   i can barely hear you and i’m getting worried,” she replied into the receiver.    “tell me where you are, i’ll be right there.”   // @illhearts​ liked.    + aj.

there was so much that should have been left unsaid about her aunt,  about the way she just tried so hard to twist rapunzel’s mind,  to twist her process and introspection.    to try and manipulate her practice by sending subconscious signals that only led to the darker arts - a practice in which rapunzel didn’t want to lean to.   one she wasn’t interested in.    she sighed, head shaking as she looked to aj.   “no matter what you do, she won’t stop,” she told him.   “trust me, i’ve tried.   it’s hopeless.”    // @illhearts​.
