“Positive thinking is more than just a tagline. It changes the way we behave. And I firmly believe that when I am positive, it not only makes me better, but it also makes those around me better.” - Harvey Mackay
Track 4 of Karsh Kale's "Liberation"
Close your eyes and let the music transport you to a safe and calming place.
A great way to lessen the intensity of an anxiety/depression attack is to hug a pillow, or something soft, and let your emotions out. As you unload your feelings, continue to gradually tighten your grasp on what you are holding. The duality of releasing something, while embracing an object, allows you to feel a sense of healing.

“Antidepressant medications are used to treat depression, anxiety, and many other mental illnesses. Often, stigmatization of antidepressants prevents those who need it from seeking help. Stigma is also a common cause of treatment failure. Lifestyle changes, therapy, and complementary alternative medicine can help with the recovery process, but sometimes that might not be enough. Since mental illness is the result of chemical imbalances in the brain, more severe/ persistent mental illnesses are best treated with medication. Although their exact mechanism of action is unknown, antidepressants are theorized to work by increasing one or more brain chemicals. Types of antidepressants include:
Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs): These are the most widely used and work by increasing serotonin levels.
Serotonin and Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs): These are the newest class of antidepressants. They work by increasing serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain.
Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCAs): An older class of antidepressants, TCAs work primarily by increasing norepinephrine and to a lesser extent, serotonin.
Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs): MAOIs were the first class of antidepressants available. They are rarely prescribed now due to a number of food and drug interactions. They increase norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine.”
