- kvaris really needs an heir of sorts someday too. if you know what i mean.
i just enjoy how... nerdy ilma's eng VA makes him. i love it. he's so good.
it also always makes me happy to listen to taki's eng "VA" and think about the long dramatic conversations. and the consistent "wow? this pretty girl likes ME?"
what also makes me even happier is from a convo the other day.
ilma is Not At All the type to be good with girls. he sounds like someone people (who don't know him) might pity for being romantically unattractive or something.
yeah and then during a conversation with him, taki calls/messages/whatever, ilma's like "oh it's my GF, hold on."
generic people who don't think he's romantically attractive being like ??? and may or may not assume that she's pity dating him.
then they hear/see that girl talk and bruh she's obviously head over heels. like they are both smiling.

alright i got a couple... very imperfect ilmaki screens from on my desktop when i borrowed the friend with ilma in a slightly more climate appropriate outfit lol. making up a little story here because i love them.
the premise: taki has to pull bf to see south aelio properly and not for research. "Just enjoy the pretty scenery for now. You can study it later!"
"Well... everything you show me will be pretty because you're the one showing me... was that lame?"
but she's like. immediately smiling. goes in for a cheek kiss. also clings. "Nope! I love it! I always do."
therefore he's also gonna hold her. "Oh, that's a relief... I really just assume I'm lame, don't I..."
"If someone else thinks you are, that's their loss."
"Right... sorry, I'm--"
"It's okay! We can talk about that later. For now, let's enjoy the view."
and give him a bit after that to look, really look. push the curiosity aside and just focus on the beauty. she'll stop clinging for that bit. focus on the world around you!
"See? Aelio can be really pretty too."
"Yeah... I see what you mean now."
aaaaand right back into cuddle mode after that to talk about whatever they've been doing lately. rambling to each other is a perfect way to spend a day they both have off!

got convinced to write a drabble. took me a while to come up with a topic, but i managed!
ilmaki time. here's how taki got her feelings across.
Ilma completely lost track of the project the moment Taki pushed him down against the table and kissed him.
And there he still is, pinned down by both of his research partner's hands on either side of him. She stares at him with her eternally cheery smile, but all he can do in response is blink. The shock left him speechless and he doubts he can even move his lips if he tries.
He knows she's as dedicated to anything she does as he is, but… once she talks about her thoughts and feelings, it sounds like she's dedicated to him.
To him… ?
Him?
Did he miss something?
"I always wanted to meet you, Ilma. You."
It's like she read his mind. "Me?"
"Yeah! I used to dream about it. I didn't think it was possible."
She used to what? "You… knew me?"
"I lurked that forum you and Crawford were on all the time. It'd be hard not to see you when he, of all people, was talking to you."
How is this possible?
Forum lurking is one thing, but the pretty girl staring down at him is telling him that she dreamed about meeting him. If he didn't know her, he'd assume she was just messing with him, but she's not that type of person.
She has already kissed him too. His face feels so warm now and he remembers her lips being even warmer, so It's not something he'll deny when there's evidence he experienced firsthand.
"I didn't even know what you looked like until they found you in Lost Central… but then I saw your face and remembered all my old feelings."
All the things Taki has said to him over the course of their work together her click into place. This is what it has been about the whole time. He really thought all of it was just her loneliness from an isolated childhood. He grew up somewhat isolated too, so he always assumed he understood how she felt… but, as it turns out, he doesn't.
Well… he can still try to figure out how she feels now...
"You're so cute, Ilma. So intelligent. So cool. So knowledgeable. So lov--"
She won't be able to finish her next sentence if he kisses her first this time. The research project can wait. His siblings tell him to get out of his head more often… this counts as a way to do that, right?
