Hello guys! We need all of the prayers for our sweet boy, Rory. Yesterday we noticed upon waking, that he was stumbling bad and walking like he was drunk. I took him to the emergency vet where they ran a ton of tests and determined that it was likely a seizure based on his history and the fact that everything came back good. We got home and went to sleep and when we got up this morning we noticed that he was stumbling even more, had a small head tilt, and couldnt move the right side of his face. We rushed him to his vet who did even more tests that all came back negative and we were left with the same "what is wrong?" Questions. He then referred us to a neurologist in Columbus (1.5 away) so we rushed rory up to her. She has it narrowed down to 2 likely issues, vestibular disease, or encephalitis. The only definitive way to know exactly what's going on is to do an MRI and Spinal Tap that costs $3400. We have opted to treat him with antibiotics and steroids first to see if he responds before spending that much money on imaging. We are praying so hard right now that he responds to the treatment and gets better. He is my absolute world and I cannot imagine not waking up with him kissing me.
