Before I kick off my week, I have to give a note of gratitude. These past couple of weeks have been a highlight in my life not just my career. I bundled all of my passions to include hosting, producing, moderating, along with serving and aligned them with music, Haiti, theater, film, veganism, entertainment, spirituality, information sharing, community building and giving people an exceptional experience. It all took place for 8+ days on one ship. The 12th Annual #CapitalJazzSupercruise None of this joy I just experienced could have been possible if the executive director didn’t trust me with his brand. If the senior staff didn’t believe in me. If the junior staff didn’t look out for me. If the Royal Caribbean staff didn’t see my vision. If the artists, musicians, performers, curators and panelists, didn’t understand me. None of this would have happened if the Supercruisers that paid their hard earned money didn’t enjoy me and my work. Understanding that, all I can say is Thank You! From every fiber in my body, I am thankful for every single person that made the Cap Jazz Supercruise possible. From every patron to every volunteer. Too many names to mention but you know who you are. Thank you for allowing me to be me and part of the team. I don’t take what you guys have built for granted. And the fact you let this little old Haitian girl from Miami be a part of the team just baffles me. Everyday I woke up for our production meeting and chanted #ThankYouGod while running to the office cause this is what I love to do and these are the people that I love doing it for. People who appreciate Good Music and have an open mind while sailing on a ship. I think I can honestly say that we knocked 2019 out the park. I can only pray that not only am I a part of it in 2020 but we collectively elevate the experience for all Supercruisers. Shout out to every person that I interacted with and for everyone that came up to me and shared their feedback about me and their experience on the cruise in real time.
