I would take the knife considering knives do scare me, but there is something fascinating about them.
A vicious looking dog appears from nowhere and begins to bound towards you at full speed. How do you respond?
Hold the knife in front of me and hope for the best because i don't really have a choice.
After your initial response to the dog, a 6 yr old Amity girl comes wondering into the area absentmindedly.
a) If the dog is still alive, it advances on her aggressively. What do you do?
Run over to the girl as fast as possible, and shove her out of the way...hoping she landed okay..because she's just a kid. She deserves to live.
b) If the dog is dead, what do you say to the girl?
That everything will be okay, although i'm not sure if that's even true. And try to console her.
Question Two:
You are standing on a bus. It is hot, sticky and the atmosphere is tense. A middle-aged, scar-faced Candor man suddenly thrusts a paper in your face, and a familiar person is on the front page. “DO YOU KNOW THIS MAN?” He shouts. What do you reply to him [exact wording]?
Um...ugh...ugh i don't know..!
a) If you respond that you do not know him, the man’s eyes well up with tears. “Please,” he begs “you could save me if you did!” How do you respond?
Umm...he looks familiar i think but i really don't know.
b) If you respond positively (yes you know him) the man begins to shout at you, calling you a traitor and a thief. He has his hands gripped fiercely on your forearm. What do you do?
c) If you respond ambiguously (saying neither yes or no) the man’s eyes well up with tears. “Please,” he begs “you could save me if you did!” How do you respond?
ugh...I've seen him before, yes..
Question Three:
You are in a large auditorium. A woman is calling your name up to a stage. She is holding a box. The audience of around 500 people are all craning their necks and looking around, but they do not recognise you. Do you go up to the stage?
yes...I'd be nervous but yes.
a) If no, the simulation ends.
b) If yes, the audience breaks into applause. How do you respond?
I'd be excited but i would be incredibly confused to why they're clapping.
b) i. When you arrive on the stage, the woman shakes your hands and hands you the box with a smile. You open it on stage. What is inside?
A bloody knife.
b) ii. The audience applauds as you descend from the stage. When you are walking back to your seat, a small Erudite boy approaches you. “What’s in the box?” He says suspiciously. What do you say/do?
I'd say "Oh it's nothing." and try to get him to go sit back down with his family or whoever he was with.
b) iii. The boy then asks to keep what is in the box. What do you say/do?
"No! No...I'm sorry you can't have it. Please go sit down." I would be incredibly freaked out as to why there was a bloody knife in the box. Why the audience is applauding me if i was going to receive something that screwed up and i would be on edge, therefore i would probably be jumpy, and scared.
