one of my absolute favorite little nuances deaf west added to the don’t do sadness/blue wind scene is, after scrambling frantically to help moritz find “what he’s lost”, ilse collapses against the platform and coughs/pants. due to the obc staging the scene the way they did (which i both love and hate), we don’t really get to see how much of a toll even the smallest tasks take on ilse now, thanks to her very much deteriorating health. but by not using the mics to represent disconnection and instead making the scene more intimate? those nuances can be added. i love it.
