and tbh, with laurent (and damen!!) i never thought of either of them as devious people who are intentionally being awful (obviously they aren't completely innocent either LOL). there's been a lot of great theories of how laurent only started dating isander bc he knew it would be a way to get close to damen but i'll be honest, that's not how i pictured it at all.

i just think laurent didn't expect to find himself so attracted to damen and now he's having to constantly battle that attraction, while also getting annoyed with damen for not even acknowledging the tension between them. like laurent refuses to go through this alone, which is why he's more straightforward with damen and why he's more... flirty???
