thc detectors?

I just saw something that demonstrated they can almost instantly detect trace amounts of THC, but they did something CRAZY

they put a plastic bag of pot, clearly sealed, into a backpack and then removed it. They were able to detect that pot WAS in the backpack, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN A SEALED BAG?? WHAT??? crazy
