68. Awkward hug
Miwa Miyagi, the lolita model, is a pretty public figure. Not much is kept from her fans, and therefore there are never any scandals surrounding her…well, unless you count that time she fought someone for a pair of shoes as a scandal, but that was one, okay maybe two, time…s.
But something’s up, or at least that’s what her fans believe.
“…That’s why I speculate our dear, Mimiwa has a boyfriend!”
Miwa’s voice is shrill and needlessly loud, especially since she and Genjirou are sitting on the same couch while she reads from some of her fanblogs, while he feigns interest.
“Ehhh, I thought we were super on the down-low…how annoying.”
She sighs and closes her pink flip phone, which is overloaded with too many charms. She looks at Genjirou expectantly, tilting her head ever-so-slightly to give off a perfect look of innocence.
“Why don’t we just go public, Miwa-chan?”
He’s somewhat…well, he’s not annoyed, but this talk is starting to grate on his nerves, because honestly he suggested the relationship should be public because it’d be a good move for both of their careers. But Miwa doesn’t agree, because, well. Her “pure” and “innocent” image might be tarnished by her going out with someone publicly. Genjirou brings it up every time they have this conversation, and she always shoots it down. He supposes this time will be no—
“That’s a good idea!”
Wait, what.
“I can’t believe we didn’t do this sooner, I’ll make a tweet about it, it’ll be all over the news!! We’ll be the power couple of the century, fufu~!”
Is…she serious? She immediately throws her arms around him, giggling and blushing. Genji gives an awkward hug back, still listening to her talk.
“Look at us~ we’re perfect! No one else could ever come close to how great we are, you know. Ohh~ I can’t wait to see the look on Karada’s face…! Maybe I’ll make him a bridesmaid just to spite him~uhuhuhu.”
She’s talking a million miles per minute, and Genjirou almost doesn’t catch the bridesmaid comment, but he makes the most pained face when he realizes, thanking his lucky stars that Miwa is too busy talking to notice.
