This, this, this. I will bug you one day soon though– ‘cause my asoiaf verse is almost done (that is, if you want to write with me toooo). No but pls, Robb isn’t dead anywhere.
SILLY I AWAIT YOUR VERSE WITH BATED BREATH !!!! but also... like don’t get me wrong I understand WHY Robb isn’t alive because the whole tide of the story would be completely reversed... I mean. IF we’re saying that instead of beheading Lord Karstark he sent him to the wall, the probability that he would still have the Karstarks behind him ( because treason is treason but he WAS one of the Stark’s main backers )
AND if he had kept his promise to wed the Frey Girl ( mind you HE GOT TO PICK??? like c’mon robb... that’s a guy’s dream ) then he’d still have the Freys WHICH MEANS there would be no exploitation of disgruntled house heads to slaughter him at the Red Wedding. Of course you could still have the power hungry Boltons, but to what affect ( besides they’re not even power hungry Robb just fucked up too much for comfort for them ) he’d have an unrivaled Northern army at his back AND protecting him.
So, if we were considering the odds in the end ( of course this is just statistically because the Lannisters are still some of the craftiest people ) would favor Robb winning the war against Tywin. Though that can mean different things depending on the status of the other “kings”...
STILL... I’d watch an AU about the North succeeding in their quest to become a free kingdom under Robb... and ONLY under Robb.... Because let’s not forget that IF the Northern conspiracy is legit and Robb’s will has been housed somewhere... he 1. Disinherited Sansa ( no Queen in the North, sorry ) and 2. made Jon his heir ( to which I still don’t entirely agree with cause BRAN, dummy ) which is still a damn mess because then you have the whole conflicting vows with the Night’s Watch......
I’m sorry.. you didn’t ask for this... but here it is.
