The IMA Hound 125F Glide / Fang

The shape is truly aerodynamic and it is said that there have been casting distances achieved up to 78(!) meters (see video at the end of this post). Ideal for Dutch circumstances, where you often have to face significant head- or cross winds. As you may expect from the IMA brand, the finish of the lures is again incredible. True eyecandies. Both the 'Glide' and 'Fang' are equipped with premium Owner treble hooks. The 'Glide' flies around with 3 of the Owner ST46 # 4's, and the 'Fang' with a pair of ST46 # 2's. This is also one of the differences between the two brothers. Another difference is the size of the lip - the 'Glide' its lip is significantly smaller.

The IMA Hound 125F Glides' lip is remarkably smaller than the lip of IMA Hound 125F 'Fang'. The 'Fang' - with its larger lip - will provide more resistance when retrieving, and therefore it has also a slightly different, but similar swimming action. Both the length (125mm) and the casting weights (20 gr) are identical. Also, both lures are the floating type. The Fang, however, will reach a depth between 80 and 130 cm, where the Glide its depth range is between the 70 to 100 cm.

The Ima (Salt) Skimmer

For me, there has been no topwater lure as successful as the Ima (Salt) Skimmer has been these last two seasons. With its 14 gram and 110 mm it has a  modest appearance, but as you know appearances are deceiving. Because of its extremely slim shape and effective positioned weights it casts fantastic. Furthermore, the Ima Skimmer is a versatile topwater lure.

You can fast retrieve the Skimmer with short quick taps so it imitates a nervous escaping baitfish, or use a slower retrieve with a longer slide so the lure will zigzag slow but wide, this way it looks more like dying baitfish. Whatever technique you use, you'll find the lure activates passive fish and is irresistible for bass.
