Astrid trudged inside the house, slowly closing the door behind her as

Toothless made his way through the doggy door doing a quick shake

of his fur to get the gloomy rain water off of him. Astrid found herself

staring around the now single living apartment. It had been a month 

since her boyfriend’s funeral. And how she missed him.

It isn’t fair. She thought as she shrugged off her wet jacket, letting 

the black lab’s green leash fall onto the mahogany coffee table as

she plops down onto the worn out sofa. Tears threatened to spill

from the blonde beauty’s ocean blue eyes. Rapidly she blinks

 forcing them to yield. A shaky sigh soon escapes her pastel pink

lips as she took in the silent room. Leaning over to her left she grips

ahold of a picture frame. It held a photo of her and Hiccup. Laughing 

about who knows what. It had been taken at a street fair downtown.

An absent smile lingered on her lips as she let her index finger trace over 

the green eyed boy’s jaw.
