In this project, I'm confronting the cliched symbolism of the selfie. My face fills the screen, to the point of discomfort, while the amorphous blackness of my indistinguishable surroundings fade out to the point of unimportance. The self is the literal center in these images, and these photos act as proof that I exist, which is the small act of reassurance and self-celebrity at the center of the selfie phenomenon. Plus, I really like getting all up in your face, especially in the morning when you're trying to sleep
