A touching book about a world that doesn`t exist anymore, about the war that changed it, about a lost love and about art. This book made me realize several things: - I know very little about the First World War (the focus at school was on World War II) - I know very little about my grandfather and nothing at all about my great-grandparents - I know very little about Belgium and its role in the First World War After all, this book was a first step to change two of the three points.
