Say that you remember...

In a world full of hate and unhappy people, I’d like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for Taylor Swift.

Before I do that, I’ve decided to not critique the people who have expressed rather discouraging remarks about a person’s artistry. These people, who constantly drag others down, are simply lacking things in their own lives - maybe happiness, maybe love, maybe common decency - hopefully they find it one day.

Anywhooooo.

I have been in love with ‘September’ since I was 14. Before that, I rarely ever really listened to the words that Earth, Wind & Fire fused with the upbeat melody of the song. I grew up with a mom that LOVED the Bee Gees, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Michael Jackson so hearing September was nothing new. Then one day, I met a boy, who I thought was *the one* (he wasn’t lolz) and suddenly it wasn’t an upbeat song I just jumped around to.... it was a love song.

It is a beautiful piece of work. The original, ant covers, and THIS cover.

@taylorswift - I can only sum up my gratitude by saying this:

You have a way of constantly evolving my emotions - Sometimes it’s like this, where you re-create a song in your own way. It makes me stop dead in my tracks, and I listen to it in a whole, new, beautiful light. Sometimes it’s when I listen to a song off Red or Speak Now, one I’ve listened to on repeat so many times, yet I hear it somehow seems different because of my experiences and life ever-changing.

You have, do, and will continue to impact my life and many, many, so many, others in the best way. I am so thankful for the gift of being on this planet at the same time as you, and getting the wonderful gift of music.

Also I’m playing this cover at my wedding, which I might add, is on October 13.
